So, it was my “graduation” a while ago for a particular summer workshop I attended to for a whole month. It was a 1 hour graduation-slash-recital which invites family and friends of me and my fellow workshop classmates to come and watch us ramp up the clothes we designed and sewed. It took place in a room with just a number of people (well, I just had 9 classmates with some of their parents and siblings) + the press. In the end of the graduation-slash-recital, the host told me and my classmates to go and meet up with our family members. As every single one of my classmates cheerily went to their families, I was left with NO ONE. Seconds passed by and I realized that my family didn’t attend my event after all, when they told me before the event that they would. While every one of my classmates were chatting and taking photos happily with their families and the teachers, I was left in the middle of the room wandering on my own, looking left and right, looking for a place to escape to… Crapp, I felt such an EPIC LOSER in the most EPIC AWKWARD MOMENT being recorded and witnessed by the press and well, the rest of the people!! Then I thought I had to blend in. I found a friend and went to butt in her talking to her 5 sisters. Well, it goes worse as she goes and takes photographs with each of them… with me aside, and once again, as I’m standing awkwardly in that pathetically awkward moment. When I saw that people weren’t blocking the exit door anymore, I had the chance to quickly sneak out and vanish from the room.
